Day14
I'm at home since day 11 at Barbara's. They sent me home with a bag of pills to take, including antibiotics for my ecoli bacteria. I went for a check-up yesterday. My arms and ankles are swollen and I have a rash on my chest and back due to an allergic reaction to the oral antibiotic I'm taking. So they switched me to an IV antibiotic and I have to go into the hospital for a 2 hour infusion over 3 days. It already seems to be working better. Also, my numbers went down and not up yesterday, may need a transfusion tomorrow. The doctor said this is a normal occurrence and nothing to worry about. They will go up, just need to keep fighting the fight.

Hi Robert. Those IV antibiotics are a wonderful thing, quick and powerful. Hope the rash and swelling goes away soon, all is a bit easier if one is physically comfortable. Thinking of you and am rooting for those counts to drift upward again. Love, Eileen
ReplyDeleteRobert, glad you are at home. Sorry about the allergic reaction, but the IV antibiotics are powerful so hopefully, they will take care of that nasty bacteria fast. Hannan/Condon blood should be headed your way by now, but I'm hoping you don't need it. Love, Kathe
ReplyDeleteRobert it is great that you are not in the hospital any onger and at home at Barbara's. You always feel better when you leave the hospital. Hope that your counts go up, the swelling goes down quickly,the rash goes away and that the antibiotics work fast. Hi to everyone. As always you are in my prayers. :}
